Kick Stand

I apologize for the lack of posts of late!  I just finished student teaching, have been interviewing like crazy, we're looking for a place live, and am currently working 10 plus hours/day at work because it's finals week at the University.  However, on a personal note-I'm all done with school (until I get my Masters...) and I have my first grown-up job starting in August!

Whew!  Despite everything, Lucy, Shaun, and I have been going on some fun outings.  Lucy is progressing well and has great focus for her age.  Lately we've noticed that she has developed a little bit of a quirky habit: when she sits for an extended period of time or on a slick surface, her right back leg tends to slide out-almost like the kick stand on a bike!  Obviously, we think it's super cute, but we have been working on getting a 'cleaner' looking sit.  From the pictures below, you can tell that it's still a work in progress :)

Loosing Teeth

Okay, I admit this post is a little weird, but I guess that's what blogging does to you!  Lucy is growing up and loosing her teeth, so we decided to take a picture of one of her teeth that fell out while Shaun was playing with her.  And yes, Lucy did get a small treat from the doggy tooth fairy ;)

Waffle

Waffle, one of Edna's puppies from her first litter and Lucy's half sister, is staying with us this week.   So, Saturday and yesterday Shaun and I were outnumbered in our apartment three canines to two humans (and Shaun was even more outnumbered, four girls to one boy!)

The Sweet Spot

Now that Lucy is bigger and has outgrown the kennel that fits in our car, she is learning how to ride on the floor of the passenger side.  This is typically where I have my dogs, and they all seem to find the exact same spot to rest their head.  Here are some hilarious pictures of Lucy in the "sweet spot" on the car ride to our parents' houses yesterday afternoon for Easter weekend.

Cheri's Birthday Party

Cheri's second birthday was on Thursday.  So, of course, we had to throw a little party!  Cheri got a bag of treats, a dinosaur Nylabone, and a banana bone-shaped cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.
